My name is Kara, and I own Kara Reese Photography in Waukesha, Wisconsin. I started A Moment With Santa® in 2016 because I wanted to create a timeless, artistic portrait of my toddler with Santa Claus - something less "basic mini-session" and more "Norman Rockwell." Since then, I've photographed over a hundred families with our exclusive Old World Santa. I'd love to photograph yours, too.

Christmas is my favorite time of year. Is it yours, too? There's just something about the smell of cinnamon and nutmeg, a chill in the air, and the sound of Bing Crosby's music that really makes me happy. To me, Christmas is the definition of "hygge," and these portraits with Santa are my attempt to bottle up those cozy sentimental feelings and transform them into tangible memories. A Moment With Santa® is about more than just pictures - it's about creating priceless memories for your children and gorgeous heirloom artwork that you'll be thrilled to put above your fireplace year after year when Christmastime comes around.
SESSION PRICING
Appointments are for one sibling set only; sorry, no groups of combined families. Our sessions start at $690, plus tax. That includes the full portrait day experience, plus two retouched photos in digital format with a print release (with the option to purchase more photos as desired) or a $500 image credit to apply towards an image bundle. Afterpay is available and we take all major credit cards.

PORTFOLIO
Your children will have the magical experience of not only getting to meet Santa and his real reindeer face-to-face, but they'll be able to take a tour of the reindeer's barn to see where they sleep, eat, and play. Staff are happy to take the children around to meet the other animals on the farm as well. Hot chocolate and cookies provided, along with ample Christmas cheer! Portraits will be taken with Santa in his sleigh with one of his reindeer standing next to the sleigh. Each child will have an opportunity to have 1-on-1 time with Santa to chat with him, along with a group sibling photo. Santa will read a story with the children and hear what they want for Christmas. Santa will also show the children their names on his "Nice List." Families are welcome to join in as well! Sessions are approximately 20 minutes long.
This year, we are transforming our professional photography studio into a vision of Santa's home - complete with a gorgeous fireplace / living room scene, and the Claus family kitchen. Studio sessions are highly interactive, and in addition to getting that classic photo with Santa, your children will read a book with him, enjoy milk and cookies, see their names on his Nice List, and tell Santa their Christmas wishes among other fun prompts as we direct and guide them through a full-length portrait session. Parents are welcome to join in on the fun for a few photos as well! Sessions are approximately 30 minutes long. Book Instantly Online Below!

My children think that they're seeing "the real Santa" at Kara's studio. The environment is warm and the whole session feels special. We're not only getting gorgeous photos, but we're making wonderful holiday memories too. We absolutely love having our photos done by Kara Reese Photography! The Santa experience is amazing. When you first arrive, being greeted by Santa's Elf herself, Kara, and seeing the magical barn and Santa's Sleigh started the magical process off. My kids are 5 and 8 and to them, this is the "real" Santa. He is jolly and so comforting. We never feel rushed, He takes the time to read with the kids while Kara captures amazing photos that we cherish forever. I highly recommend and feel its more of an experience, and worth every penny.

I literally don’t know how she does it! Raising 7 puppies drains the life and beauty out of a breeder but Kara not only wrangled all the puppies together - with the BEST SANTA EVER - but made me look amazing in the photos, without me even asking for enhancements.
